The New Yorker issues are stacked sequentially on my nightstand waiting impatiently to be read. Last night the December 15 issue rose to the top of the pile. After a quick review of the cartoons (a team effort with my husband), I settled in and selected Making Toast as my late night read. What a beautifully written piece.
This morning I read it aloud to my husband and we shared tears for the Rosenblatt and Solomon family.
I completely agree with you — it was such a beautiful piece. Thanks for supporting this project and best of luck with ‘Fifty Two Pieces.’ I look forward to following it throughout the year.
I read this piece aloud to friends also. Very powerful.
