Zarif Khan—"Louie"—was an Afghan immigrant who became a Wyoming legend selling tamales in Sheridan. His 1964 murder shocked the region. The killer was hanged, removed from the gallows, then hanged again. Fifty years later, anti-Muslim rhetoric brought Louie back into the news.
